Our Costs
Our Charges
Majority of our Immigration work is performed on a fixed fee basis. We operate a transparent service and to comply with the SRA price transparency rules, our range of fees are listed below. Where VAT is referred to below please note that this will be charged at the applicable rate which is currently 20%.
Our charges are for the legal work we conduct on your behalf. Our fees vary depending upon how complex your case is and what you would like us to do. Typically our fees for Immigration matters can range between £250 and £1800 plus VAT (where applicable) depending on the type and nature of the matter. However, subject to complexity, the fees can be higher. We will always be clear and upfront about the fees involved from the outset.
For a free quote specifically tailored to your circumstances please email Click to show encoded email. Alternatively, we can offer a free initial 15 minute telephone or face to face consultation to discuss your immigration query and any potential costs involved.
Key stages of your case
Our fixed fees will cover all of the work in relation to the following key stages of an immigration application or appeal:
- Discussing your circumstances and options throughout the process
- Giving you advice about the requirements of the Immigration Rules and whether you meet the criteria
- Meetings with you and any other relevant third parties
- If you do not fulfil certain criteria, whether this can be overcome and how
- Considering the supporting evidence you have provided
- Where necessary, helping you obtain further evidence (such as medical records and
bank statements), including taking statements of any witnesses - Preparing your application and submitting it on your behalf to the relevant body
- Advising you on timescales
- Giving you advice about the outcome of the application and any further steps you
need to take.
It would not normally be necessary to undertake other work or incur other costs other than those described above. However, we would be very happy to provide you with a more tailored quote for all stages of your particular case once we know about your specific circumstances.
The exact time spent and fees charged will depend on the circumstances in your case. The following factors are taken into account when determining our professional fees:
- How straight-forward your case is in terms of the law
- Whether it is necessary to appeal
- The amount of supporting evidence that we need to consider
- Which language(s) you speak
- Adjourned hearings
- Whether you are applying with other dependants
If you are able to provide enough evidence early on in the case and it is obvious that you meet the legal tests for your immigration application then the cost is likely to be at the lower
end of the price range given above. If the case is more complex and proceeds to an appeal then the costs of your case will likely exceed this price range.
Some of the most common applications are detailed below and the typical range of timescale and costs (need to come back to this with price brackets for individual applications and appeals).
Disbursements
Our fees do not include disbursements (costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties such as the Home Office, Tribunal, interpreters etc) as such these must be paid directly by you.

Interpreters are not needed in most cases but if an interpreter is needed the hourly rate can range from £50 – £100 per hour. In a typical case, it may require two – three hours of work which could cost between £100 – £300 plus VAT if applicable. It is difficult to estimate what overall interpreter fees would be without knowing full details of your case. Please contact us at Click to show encoded email for more information.
In some instances, we may require official, English translations to accompany any foreign documents. You as the client will be responsible for any costs of translating such documents. As we do not provide in-house translation services, we will need to use a reuptable organisation to furnish us with translations. Any costs will be confirmed before said organisation so you are aware of the costs involved.
In most cases we do not need to instruct a barrister (often referred to as ‘counsel’ who are specialists in attending and arguing your case before the a judge). If a barrister is needed then we will contact you with details of their costs.
We do not normally need to incur the cost of preparing a medical report on your behalf but should this be required we will tell you straight away.
Travel costs for attending hearing centres beyond a 45 mile radius will attract additional fees details of which will be provided at the earliest opportunity. If there is an interview with the immigration authorities and you ask us to attend with you, there will be further disbursements for our travel costs.
Any advice and assistance in relation to any appeal if your application is refused or initial appeal dismissed will attract further fees and will be a separate matter should you wish to instruct us in relation to the new matter.
How long will my case take?
Unfortunately, we do not have control over how long the Home Office take to process applications. However, you can view the current processing times online here:
